Wesleyan Core Values
It is our desire to exemplify Christ in such a way that we might not only be a blessing to others, but might help others to seek a personal relationship with Him for themselves. Because the Scriptures tell us:
"You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart".
Jeremiah 29:13
We also desire to grow in our knowledge of and relationship with Christ and to assist others to be discipled as well. This is God's desire for us.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"
Mathew 28:19
Wesleyan’s believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all men and women who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and seek to establish our faith and actions on its teaching. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the Church is to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.
What is the Wesleyan Church
An Evangelical, Protestant Denomination. We offer the "Good News" that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful relationship with God; a holy life empowered by the Holy Spirit for witness, service, and assurance of eternal heaven. Our ministries emphasize practical Biblical teaching, uplifting corporate worship, and special programs to meet a variety of needs. With our World Headquarters in Fisher, Indiana, the Wesleyan Church has nearly 400,000 constituents in 5,000 churches spanning across 80 countries and around the world. It was formed in 1968 resulting from the merges of several like minded groups dating back as far as 1843. Wesleyan roots are on John Wesley's Methodism.
